OK.. Wife wants to do the entire spa support cabint in Ceder. I also want to put a 1ft bench type shelf all the way around the spa. Can ceder be sanded down smooth enough as to where you wont get splinters?

I want to use redwood..

Thoughts????

if you use vertical grain wood no splintering will occur.
