Thought the circulating pump was broken, bought new one and ran it independently of spa circuit and it works. But, go to turn on the jets, on the spa circuit, now it trips almost instantly. I was thinking that perhaps the inlet where the circ pump was originally plugged into was bad because if the circ pump was disconnected, all the jets ran. This is getting expensive and frustrating. This is a Leisure Bay, G2, 4000 Spa Pack by Balboa. This forum won't let me post the pics.

if the circ pump replaced also drives the heater - you have a likely heater failure - disconnect your heater and try again - if it works now, you need a new heater element

I don't know what the problem was but it is working now. Even though the circ pump is running independently, the spa is picking up that it is flowing through the heater. Someone from the Rec Warehouse told us that we would have additional problems by running it independently. Hard to know if someone is looking to make a sale or just trying to help. Anyone else had this happen??

Check the blower. Disconnect it from the spa pack and see if the spa still trips when going from circulation to high speed with the pump and jets. Had a simmilar problem and found that the check valve in the blower line had let water back into the blower and shorted it. Once I took the blower out of the mix the tub ran fine.

Is the circ pump the only 120-volt item in the spa?
