I have a CalSpa PS-5 that I recently had the motor rebuilt. On re-installation I found that I had a cord that had no home. It is about 1/2 inch thick-black and about 4 feet long. It is coming from the Temp Control Unit located on the top. It has 4 pins, 3 of which are small and round and 1 is small and rectangular. It says J&J on it. I can't seem to find where it plugs in and the tub is not heating up so I'd say it was needed. Any ideas?

I just took apart my ps-5. If I'm not mistaken (I'll double check tonight) the plugs like that came from my 2 pumps and the blower. Maybe to ozone too. I have the components on my bench. I'll check and get back to you.... Good Luck!

SteveD,

This is what I have... Hope it helps.

If your plug is rectangular in shape...

Ozone: 2 round and 1 rectangle prong (almost like a standard plug)
Pumps: 3 round (at a diagonal) and 1 rectangle prong
Flow Switch: 2 round (at a diagonal) and 1 rectangle
My blower is still in the cabinet and I wasn't able to check it. From the receptacle it doesn't look like any of the others.

The only other thing that plugs into my controller it from the top side controls and it is round in shape.

Good Luck
