Bought a used Hot Springs spa (1994 Jetsetter) and the plug says 120v 20A.... and requires a plug that looks something like this:
http://www.smarthome.com/2243i.html

I replaced the outside recepticle and the breaker is already a 20A GFI... Got the jets to run through the cleanup cycle. Then set the temp on 5 to start gettin it warmed up... didn't really hear anything... shouldn't I hear the circulation pump or something? Anyhow, after about 15 min, I came back to check on it and felt like running the cleanup again and..... nothing. The power light on the tub is flashing and nothing works.

On the inside, there is a heater reset and a tub reset... hit the heater reset and it doesnt appear to do anything. It seems like the tub reset is broken (doesn't click or anything).

Any tips on whats going wrong? Oh, yea... the plug for the tub was getting pretty hot... is that normal?

Thanks a bunch for any advice!

after a few hours, the heater reset button actually reset and the heater began to work again. But after only a minute, it cut out again and would not trip back over. Is there a timer?

I'm thinking the heater is pulling too much current and tripping the hot tub safety? Any thoughts? I wanna be tubbin soon! :P Thanks for any help!
