 Post subject: Need wiring schematic
PostPosted: Tue Mar 16, 2004 10:53 am
I have purchased an older Santa Barbra Spa with an "Acura Spa System" in it. No circuit boards, just electromagnetic stuff. Someone has done some serious re-wiring on it. I need a wiring schematic for it if someone knows where to get one. I contacted "Acura", they said they didn't have one. It is a model #ST220L10. I am having trouble figuring out how the switch that controls the pump is supposed to be wired. Like I said someone has done some shameful things to the wiring, so it may not even have the right switch in it. Appears to have a TBS-317 DPDT Switch, and a relay. They way I think it is suppose to work is the first push of the air button is "pump on high", second push "pump on low" third push "pump off". I can't figure out how to wire it to make it work this way. A wiring schematic for another brand might be helpful if I can't find the correct one. If anyone can help, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you!!

You're really on the lam with this system. Those older Acura spa controllers were a devils nightmare to work on, much less troubleshoot. There is no such thing as a schematic anywhere in the world that I know of for this or 50% of the rest of the controllers floating around.

If you're able to get this thing fixed, I would plan on sometime in the near future at removing the entire control system, including pumps and heater and installing something that is more generic in nature, easier to work on, and easy to find parts or assistance with.

Something like this is really inexpensive, and much more economical to work with in the future: http://spapartsnet.com/products/SPASB1000.html

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I've worked on these things and they are not fun!
