 Post subject: new motor wiring.

had a brain freeze. never looked at the wiring for the old motor. old motor gone. new motor has line 1 for the white wire?,and high speed is red wire? low speed is black? thanx

Most of the time, the common is white, red is low speed, and black is high. But sometimes you'll find the red and black are reversed. No harm done, you'll just have to swap the red and black if the speeds are backwards.

The most important is to get the white common line in the correct spot. Otherwise it's possible to fry a new motor!
