I have a 1996 Hercules hot tub. I just bought it about 1year ago off of a neighbor. At some point it was replumbed and only has one 2speed motor that has a low spd for circulation and a high for jets. The spa also has a blower. About a year ago I changed out the motor and went up to 4hp from 3hp.

My problem now is that I believe I have 1 or 2 blown relays on the CB. I have attached some photos with obvious signs of charring on the low speed relay.

I have the wiring schematic which I will post as soon as I have it scanned.
I have couple of questions and concerns:

1. what is the small retangular box below the relay? if I replace the relay do I need to replace this part also?
2. I see signs of charring in 2 places on the back of the CB...does this mean I have 2 bad relays?
3. where do I get the replacement parts/relays? which are the right parts?

Lastly, If I replace the CB, what would be a suitable replacement...I don't really want to spend big bucks... :D
Thanks.
Mike

Sorry, it's $399 time most likely.

That board dates back to 1996. No longer in production.

Good luck with the repair attempt though. It happens a lot with cb mount relays that are 100% sealed (or hermetically sealed). Check out digikey for some replacement relays.

It's a generic footprint, T-9 (potter and brumfield style), easy to find.
