Hi all. I need some help with my spa. We're not sure what happened but the symptoms look something like this: Upon turning on the breaker, the display says "0" for about 5 seconds, then it switches to "100F" and then the display promptly switches to "Sn" after about 1 second. The spa appears to funciton normally during this 1 second period: if you push the buttons for either of the pumps they come on and pump water until it switches over to "Sn" and the pumps stop. You can even invert the display, turn on lights, and other such functions if you can pull them off in this one second interval, so it looks to me like its functioning normally until it switches over to "Sn". This whole process can be repeated by switching off all power to the spa and turning it back on again.
I've opened up the spa pack (Balboa 2000 le) and had a look inside. Obvious things like fuses and wires seem intact and show continuity. I'm comfortable with a multimeter and have actually repaired this spa before when the pump's bearings went out. I pulled the pump out and replaced the bearings instead of replacing the whole thing, saved us quite a bit of $$$... I'm afraid that if I call a "technician" out for a look at the spa, the first thing he'll do is replace the whole spa pack and I'd like to avoid this expense unless its absolutely necessary...
I do have a digital camera if photos will help...
Thank you all for your time, and BTW, I may be in the market for an ozone generator soon... are they expensive to run/maintain?
