Is it possible to bypass (get rid of) a circulation motor in my system. I have a new pump that is a 2 speed.

I have a circulation motor and had discussed bypassing the circulation motor since the new motor has multi-level speeds...but I'm not so sure it will work with my setup.

The way my circulation motor is set-up, there is a separate 1" pipe that runs from a "T" joint after the 1.5" pipe exits the water pump. The 1" pipe then goes through the filter. Hell, a picture is worth a thousand words. Please see attached pic and recommend a proper set-up to bypass the circulation motor.

Is there even a way for me to use only a single 2 speed pump in this set-up?

Where is your heater? Not in drawing. It will matter if it is inline with the filter system. Most contreollers will shut the pumps down after a certain time limit. Recirc pumps will always run if in line with the heater when power is on to the tub. You don't want your heater running and have the controller shut of the pump because it times out.

circulation pumps are usually fitted to drive filtration ozone and heater - if this is the case for yours - you won't be able to remove it without replacing your entire control system and replumbing the spa - a circ system is best, particularly for ozone
