Hey it looks for just a bit more money i can upgrade my ozonator.
I have the older bulb style. It still bubbles up a storm, but I have beed informed that that doesnt mean it is creating ozone necessarily.
T or F
Part two a delzone platinum eclipse cd ozone maker can be had for near 1/3 the price of the hotsprings freshwater 3. Sometimes you get what you pay for smetimes you pay for a name. Any unbiased expert opinions?
FYI 1997 sovereign w/ delzone bulb type ozonator, thatbubbles, but i believe that since it doesnt get that ozone fresh smell, its time to replace bulb? Recieved new so not sure of years on bulb. I also have the ag+ cartrige option.[/b]

I'd go with the cheaper option-Delzone makes quality products.

Thats good news.
My hotsprings dealer tech just reccommended KZO brand because of easy parts replacement.
Cant find much info on it.
Maybe same as JED brand.

My 2 cents:
I agree with swine... BTW with a UV (bulb) based ozonator, you don't get that smell, that smell comes from the corona discharge (CD) ozonator. If your existing UV ozonator is 5 or more years old, it's definentally time to replace it

What about KZO brand? My spa guys recommend this over hotsprings or delzone CD units. Say they have easilt replaceable/ available parts. Can find very little info online on this unit. Same as JED or other in different package?

I've never heard of them. But if your dealer has, and has easy "access" to parts for them, why not?
Even if there is no access to ozone bulbs or ballasts, they're so inexpensive, not usually a big deal to replace the entire unit for about $80-$150, depending on the model (UV)

turns out kzo is a custom job designed by hotsprings dealer in prescott. looks like the hotsprings units themselves have high failure rates.
