Is there a way to make use of one of the two pumps on my spa in order to quick drain it? Draining it by hooking a water hose takes several hours. Is there a way to flush the lines out?
We've been using Baqua Spa since we bought the spa and now have that gummy build up that I've read about in this forum. It's virtually impossible to get rid of, and we've gone through a few more expensive filters than normal.

If you have valves in line, you could attach a discharge line to the pump, but if the pump pulls from a suction port other than one in the footwell it won't stay primed.

When I need to drain quickly I use multiple 1-1/2" hoses to siphon the water. It takes 10-15 minutes. I've even gone so far as to use a 6" gutter drain which does the job in about 2 minutes but is a bit difficult to manage. :D

For flushing the lines I use a compressor or a shop vac, but there'll still be water left.
