Post subject: Replaced spa pack - now no heat :-(
PostPosted: Tue Apr 06, 2004 8:29 pm
I just replaced my old spa pack and heater with a Hydro-Quip model 030925152090 unit from HydroSpa. It's running on 120v, as was the old unit, and uses a mechanical thermostat and air switches. I was very careful in connecting everything up the right way (I think), and everything on the new unit works except the heater. When I turn the thermostat on, the pump kicks in on low speed but neither the heater nor the "heater on" light come on. Is there something simple I can check? A loose or disconnected wire perhaps? Unfortunately I don't have a schematic diagram for the unit. Any help would be most appreciated!

Check the pressure switch. The heater will not come on if there is not enough pressure (water flow). Many times these need to be reset.
The pressure switch is normally on the stainless steel tube that holds your heater element.
