I have a Royal Spa with a Spa Builders AP-1400 control pack that is about 4 years old. The spa came with the house we just bought, but no manuals. The control box has 2 pumps with seperate switches for each side, an air blower, a light, and one unused plug in. I want to add an ozonator to the tub, and believe the unused plug-in is a J&J mini plug for the ozonator. The plug-in puts out 120v all the time, and the control box has no timer built onto it. I have a couple of questions about this control box:

1) How do I use this plug-in without having the ozonator run all the time? (Is there a timer I can add on to this control box for it?)

2) Where can I find a manual for this specific control box? It's a Spa Builders model AP1400 and the Product number is 3-70-0168

Ozone is usually applied during the heat/filter cycle, and not when it's in use. If that output is on all the time, it probably isn't a source for power for the ozone.

I didn't look to see if the heater was on when I checked for voltage to the plug-in. I do know that both of the pumps to the jets were off as well as the air blower. It has a seperate circulating pump, that I believe runs all the time (there is no timer that I know of and it is on when the control is powered), and flows through the heating element, which heats up when the thermostat tells it to. I figured the heater would be seperate from the ozoze control since the timing of the two have no relation to each other.

If there is something I can do to this control pack to make it only only circulate so many hours of the day, and it would control the mentioned mini plug, that would be great. Actually that would be the ideal situation I'm looking for.

I'm no pro in this field, but do have basic electrical knowledge. I think I understand how it should work (on a timed basis) but have no manual to my control pack. Therefore I don't know what my control pack was built to do or what I need to add an ozonator.

I would also greatly appreciate it if someone can tell me how I can get a manual for this control box or find out what options it was built with by the product number?

I hope I'm making sense here. I'd like to get this set up before the really cold weather hits here so any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, I can get pics of the control box if that would help.
