I have a SweetWater spa that I have had for 3 years and we enjoy it almost every night. The only issue I have is that it does not have an air pump to get that extra bubble action. I have been toying with the thought of adding air to the spa. I have looked around and seem to be able to find all the parts I would need to do it but I am not 100% that it is worth the work. I have read that the air does have a tendency to cool the water some when it is on. Is this a real worry? Does the air add that much to the spa experience??

Has anyone made this mod to a spa that was not originally equipped?? If so any pointers would be much appreciated.

air isn't all that difficult to install, however, it does cool the water down a lot faster than the induction system you have now. Most tubs that have an air blower don't put the air to the jets at all, rather they have a whole series of "air jets" dedicated to just that, through which the blower blows. To date, on my 14 hot tubs, none of them had the blower going through the jets.
