Post subject: weak water presure prob.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 06, 2004 10:01 pm
I just got my new used spa with a Aqualine EM-103.It heats up great, the blower works(almost too well)but I'm having problems gettin good even presure from all the jets.I wired it to work on 110 volts and was told by a shop, that would only effect the heating.I can't find any instructions or manuals online. The best presure I ever got ,just barely made the water surface ripple.Any help or info on this model would be great .Thanks for any help. Rick

The main thing to check is whether or not you are running with a 100v or 220v pump, if you rewired the system for 110v and the pump is designed to run off of 220v then the system will not work properly, the pump will run slow and hot and will more than likely begin shutting down and possibly tripping the breaker, provided all the plumbing is clean and there is no backflow of pressure and you are in fact using a 110v pump then the only thing you can do is to replace the pump all together.

the pum is a 115 volt. What would cause some jets to work, and others have almost no presure? Also, when the pump runs on hight,it sounds like there are small rocks in it.should I rebuild or replace or could there be airlock??

if it's pumping water it is most likely not air locked. how old is the spa? I have an old amish country spa and i can turn my jets down by twisting the jet in it's socket. is it possible that the jets themselves are simply turned down?
