I have a tsunami spa. I have had it only 2 months. The other day it quit. The next day it sounded like it wanted to start up for a few seconds and then it quit again and the board in the control pack started buzzing. I opened the cover and I could see the little switches sort of arcing. I turned off the power. I called the company and they told me to call the service guy. They both made references to the wiring. I told them I wired it myself and I think they are going to try to wiggle out of the warrenty. They said it could be because it was wired with stranded wire instead of solid copper. I wired it with what my electircian told me to use #6stranded copper wire. Has anyone ever wired a hot tub with solid wire? I think it is just the board but I think the company is just going to try to dog me and blame me so they dont have to cover it. It has a wh-lited balboa control pack in it. any help would be great. I would like to tell them they are high and have sold me a pos and dont want to help me now that they have spent my money. Thanks mike

There had to be some kind of mis-comunication about the conductors (wires) feeding your spa circut.

Imagine trying to just bend #6 non-stranded!

You might want to start over by calling out some other "service guy." for a 'under warrenty service call.'

This time just tell them the required information. Like address, make, model, warrenty questions and stuff.

Just give the symptoms (dont cut your own throat) of the problem. If they even want them.

Something like:
"I have a tsunami spa. I have had it only 2 months. The other day it quit. The next day it sounded like it wanted to start up for a few seconds and then it quit".

The last thing you want to say is "I opened the cover and" make a big red flag pop up in the guys mind.

Thanks, They came and fixed it anyway under warrenty. They said my wireing was fine. I think it was a miscommunication about the wiring. I think they thought I used the braided wire with like 100 strands in it. I actually used the copper # 6 that has like 10 or 12 strands in it. Lions.
