This is getting confusing. You need to differentiate your terms.

So I traced it (or at least I thought I did) back to the GFCI. I unhooked the wires from the breaker to the tub at the tub and the breaker went twice. Thought I had it figured out. Picked up a new breaker today, installed it, got the tub up to 101, and the breaker popped again.

Breaker or GFCI breaker? Which is what? Do you have a GFCI in the house mains and a standard breaker at the cut-off close to the spa?

What tripped? The GFCI breaker or the Standard breaker?

Sorry guys. I have a standard 60 amp breaker in the house and a 60 amp GFCI between the house and the hot tub outside. The outside GFCI was the one that I concluded I was having problems with. The inside breaker has never been a problem. I replaced it (the outside GFCI) on Tues. with a new one, but it popped once again. I then pulled it out yesterday and really made sure that I had it seated in the breaker box (outside) and it has worked fine ever since.

Was down this AM. Guess that I need to troubleshoot the wires 1 by 1 until I find it.
