I will cut to the chase. I purchased a 110v spa pack from bluedolphinspaequipment.com. The brains of the spa pack are from Ingenious Products, the pump says 230v at 60a, 110v air blower, and spa light. I did not receive a cord to hook this beast to my dedicated GFCI 120v 40a plug. The inside of the brains has 4 connections, L1, L2, Common, and Ground. I was told by an electrician that if this thing was in fact setup for 110v use, that I could connect a 3 wire cord/plug to the L1, Common, and ground and leave out the L2. Well, the second I did that and plugged it into the wall socket there were sparks and the gfci tripped asap. The only good thing about the whole deal is that I know the GFCI works. Does anyone have any clue how to make this work?

Contact Joe@bluedolphinspaequipment.com

Didn't it come with installation instructions or a wiring diagram? The company you bought it from should provide you support on the product, IMHO

I would suspect you have to move the L2 wire in the pack or isolate it, I have no experience with "Ingenious Products"

This is Joe from Blue Dolphin Spa Equipment. We don't have any record of you trying to contact us or our service dept. Also, your user name and address do not show up in our data base. You can contact us at any time for any reason as we have a 2 year warranty on our IP-15 and we will fix or replace it for you. Thank you.
