I just had a Caldera Spa installed. Had to run about 90 feet of wire so I went with 6 ga wire. When I filled it I initially set the thermostat at 95 and it heated up great. The problem comes in when I crank it up to 100 degrees the 50 amp GFI pops (This came with the Caldera Spa). Whats going on? Under 95 everything works great, other than the radio and they are in the process of replacing that. Help!!!!! I want to crank it up and enjoy it.

Is this GFCI internal to the spa control or is it mounted separately from the tub?

Its an external mounted outside the house. 50 amp breaker in the panel box in the basement. 50 amp GFI in the box outside.

Well..... The repairman came out today and replaced the heater. Said they are having problems with the new "C" series spas due to a grounding problem. Dont know if this it true but will see how it heats up. On the downside, they still havent received the new stereo to replace the one that came with it. Never played a tune. If all goes well I will be in the tub listening to the coyotes tonight.
