Hi there,
I recently purchased a new home and it has an indoor spa room. We finally got around to cleaning it out and filling up the spa yesterday for use and I didn't realize until it was half-way full that the trickling I was hearing was not from the hose filling up the tub, but rather, that it was the drain underneath and it wasn't completely off. Needless to say, there was a puddle of water underneath the tub where the spa pack is and that gives me some concern about turning it on now. We put towels underneath to soak up the excess water and propped the door up overnight to air out the unit, but this morning, the flooring (wood) is still wet (damp). I've turned a fan on it for now, but I'm hoping some of you may have some advice for me on when it's safe to turn on the spa or start heating up the water in the tub. Is it safe now while the flooring is damp because these things are made to withstand some moisture, or is this something I would be wise to wait until completely dry before trying to even start up the spa?
Sorry, I'm sure this is a remedial question for many of you, but for me, having bought the house with the spa as opposed to having researched and put one in ourselves, this is not old hat and safety is of the utmost importance to me.
Thanks in advance for any insight or guidance anybody may be able to offer.
Kind regards, Hope
