Post subject: FloMaster pump Hi / Lo speed reversed!
PostPosted: Sun May 15, 2005 12:09 pm
I recently upgraded my control box and topside controls from an analog ACC (Applied Computer Control) to their SmarTouch 2000 Digital. It was plug and play essentially, as far as wiring is concerned. Everything works great, but the heater and filter cycles are on high speed instead of low. And the hi / lo speed LEDs on the touch panel appear to be opposite of the actual speeds. Since the wiring inside the control box appears to be similar color code layout for all of the external connectors, I am assuming the pump itself is wired backwards. Thanks.

2. 220v dedicated circuit
3. ACC SmarTouch 2000 Digital Control w/ electronic topside panel
5. Pump Configuration: FloMaster XP2 pump

Most often you can just simply reverse the two wires from low to high, and vise-versa. The only difference between the two are where they hook up to the motor, one on the "high" terminal, and the other on the "low" terminal. The high speed is usually RED and the low speed is usually BLACK, with the WHITE being either neutral (if 120V) or L2 (if 240V)
