I've got a Down East Spa, Bar Harbor model. I have had it for about 5 years. It was connected by a professional electrician. I have had no problems with it. Just went out tonight to get in and no power. Went in to check the breaker and it was tripped. Tried to reset it and it immediately trips. What could cause that to happen to a hot tub that has been working fine? Is it the heater??? Pump??? I just want to get an idea of what it could be and what the cost will be.

The two most common causes of this problem are the heater and/or the pump, when one of them goes out it is usually pretty quick and without much warning and the system will not reset unless one of them is disconnected. Try disconnecting both the leads to your heater before activating the breaker to see if you can get everything else to work. Assuming that doesn't work try the pump next, basically it's trial and error removing one piece of equipment at a time until you find your problem.
