In a earlier post.. I was having problems setting the timer. Some lube fixed that. Now I read on the internet that this timer should have all the
"switching pins" to the inside and you move them out (away from center) to control pump. Mine are backwards.. you have to move them towards the center to switch the pump.

As I bought the spa used.. I was wondering if the timer could be wired wrong or maybe Grasslin changed their timer operation along the way.

thanks

Hi wingryder, If it works don't worry too much about it. I suspect it is wired wrong, if you have 5 electrical terminals on the timer the NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) are switched. If you want the change it look at the back of the timer for a wiring diagram and switch those 2.

Thanks Jeff

I kind of thought that was the case. Seems to work just fine so I guess I will leave it alone.

Thanks for your response.

I too have a use spa with a Grasslin timer. The probelm I have is that when I set the time (hour & minute hand) and the day to the arrow around the wheel, everything seems good to go. But then as time progresses it turns out that the hands are keeping time counter-clockwise and therefore the day wheel is not moving at all....which means no time selections ever get selected for heating.

So, question, what would cause the clock to run backwards? Could it be a wiring issue or is this timer just junk?

The timer should be replaced, it is junk.
