I have a Sovereign Model 1 by Hot Springs. The Green Ready Light is flashing.

If I power the unit down and wait 30 seconds or longer and then power back up it all seems good for about 5-10 minutes and then the ready light starts flashing again.

I am in the process of draining the tub and going to clean the 3 filters w/ my hose. Dunno if this will help/fix or not.

This just started doing this flashing routine this week....any ideas?

Also if I turn the heat above 104 degrees the readout on the screen displays strange characters is this normal?

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but if I turn the thermostat above 104 degrees the screen reads strange characters?

the flashing green "ready" light is an indication that the temp sensor has failed. Though it may also mean the circ. pump has failed, and is simply overheating... due to the proximity of the circ pump to the temp sensor, it will sometimes trigger the failed sensor function.

You are not allowed to display a SET temp. higher than 104 (must comply with UL standards), so Hot springs incorporated that funky UE1, U2, UE3, and UE4 to indicate set temperatures above 104.

Try cleaning your filters first.

Good luck!

My green light started flashing after my 3 year old kept messing with the test & reset buttons on the plug. Is there anyway to diagnose if it myself and figure out which part I will need? :?
