I have a Blue Ridge spa, purchased at Lowes, the very basic model with a thermostat dial and two air switches on top (one for high speed jets and one for light).
Recently the high speed function of the jets stopped working. The low speed and heat still worked properly with the timer.
The heat stopped working a month or so later. I replaced the heat element (flow thru tube type) and the pressure switch.
Still no heat. I have tested power coming to the element when the thermostat and timer are engaged and it is reading 127 volts. (tested each terminal with one test lead on the element terminal and one going to ground) I disconnected the power leads from the element and checked the resistance on the element by putting test probes on both terminals and it read 14.6 ohms.
I checked for vapor lock, bled the air off. The low speed pump is working and circulating water properly.
Is 127 volts the proper amount at the element? Im not much of an electrician (obviously).
Any suggestions?
