You need to check to see if you've got voltage across the terminals on the heater element.

If you can't test this, then you need to find a technician or someone that can do it for you.

i opened the heating termnal and the element had touched the side and melted a small indention into the plastic. so i went ahead and replaced the element. but there still is no heat. the temp was 79 after i filled it up, and now its 80.4 a couple of hours later. i covered it for the night, and i'll recheck in the morning. what else could it be?

i just recheck the temp. and now its 82.4. maybe that fixed it. on the first element, we ran it for 24 hours, and the temp only raised about 2 degrees.
