I have an older hot springs tub serial# IA 01511. Its a 110v unit, after wiring it up, the way the previous owner had it wired. It will not run...There is a small momentary button on the panel, if i push it in, the pump will kick on, as soon as i release the switch, the pump turns off.

Any idea, as to what may be wrong? Mabey i have it wired wrong!

The switch has three terminals, only 2 are used. One is (com.) and the other is N O (normally open) the N C (normally closed) is not used.

Any info would be greatly apperciated.

:?: Are you referring to the door interlock mounted on the control box, or the actual jet pump button? :?:

If you mean the door interlock, the door is supposed to be closed, and press the button closed... and the spa should work...

It's the only momentary switch on an old Hot springs, so I'm guessing that's it... the jet pump button is a latching switch....

Close the door.

If the door is in poor condition, it's ok to simply bypass the door interlock... Hot springs stopped using them in 1995, so I wouldn't go throught he trouble to repair or replace a part that isn't even being used anymore :D

Hope that helps
