Hello, im new to this forum. But what i have is a Sundance Cameo Spa i think its called, i bought it the other day and filled it up and everything works. But it shuts it self off after 15-25 minutes of use. There is a little red button on the controller that goes out, after it cools down it works again. wonder what the problem is? please help, thanks for anyones help, Brent...p.s. the spa is like 15 years old, but it is in beautiful shape, and thats the only thing wrong....im thinking its the temp comtrol by the filter.

Does your spa have the Sentry 800 control panel with the LCD display? If so, you will only be able to run for 15-20 minutes at a time, since that is programmed into the controller.

The red button popping out is a different story. My experiance with the Sundance Cameo (I have one, 1994 model) is that there isn't a reset such as this. If yours does have that button, then the first paragraph of my reply isn't going to be your situation. I know pre 90(ish) Sundance spas used air buttons for controlling the jets, and used a mechanical thermostat for temperature control.

Is the red button popping out at the same temperature each time? It may be your thermal overload tripping out, and if it consistantly trips out at say, 97 degrees, it will need to either be adjusted or replaced.

Does the whole spa go dead when this happens, or just low speed and heat?
