How often do people add water to hot tubs for your everyday loss of water, between uses and evaporation. It seems I am losing more water now that it is much colder out, and i was hoping this was due to the fact of their just being much more evaporation because of the hot/cold effect. I dont lose a ton of water, but maybe the tub is down in inch or so in a matter of a at least a week and we have used it twice since then. Just wondering what to expect. Thanks.

Evaporation rates increase as the difference in temperature between the water and air increases. An inch isn't unheard of, but it is always a good idea to take a peak at your equipment, especially your pump seal and heater gaskets, anytime you're suspicious.

I added water last night, so i am going to monitor it a little closer this time. It is probably a good idea to check in the compartment bay, i havent done that for a few months.
