I received the spa from a friend and everything worked before it was moved except for a couple of water leaks which I have fixed. He said the bubbles worked before it was moved. It has two 4hp motors on it. There is no blower on this one just a manual knub you turn to let air in. After reading on this message board about bubble issues. I have replaced all the o rings on all the eye ball jets. It still does not work if I take my air compressor and blow air into the air intake on the top I see bubbles. but that is the only time I see them. Is there anyway to troubleshoot this to find where the problem is at I removed all the foam and don't see any issue in the plumbing. Also FYI the main airline form the top goes underneath to the other side top to a check valve then, too two other check valves to the rest of the tub. Anyhelp would be apreciated. Another I deas I had if the source can be found, can I put a blower on this and just connect it to air intake line to force air in just a thought? Thanks for any and all help.

Best Regards and Thanks
Mike

if the water level is too high, that can cause a loss of air induction. Also, if there is any restriction in the plumbing, that could cause a lack of water flow to generate the vacuum at the jets. It all runs on basic carburetation.... Water rushes past a venturi, creating vacuum, pulling in air. Either you don't have enough water flow, or not a free enough air flow. FYI a missing insert in a jet can negate the venturi effect.

thanks for the info, if the motors are old and slow from 1994 not sure if they will push enough water to create suction, also not sure how to tell they seem strong, but now way to gauge them. Could I install a blower? since I hook up my air compressor to it and that works? Just thinking? Thanks again for all your wisdom!!!! :D

I had the same problem with my CalSpa. From what I have seen of the plumbing you would have to hook the pump up to each intake because they are all plumbed seperately. I found on mine I had to turn the jet controls to be using only one jet in order for the venturi to work. If it was set halfway between jets so more then one set was running it didn't have enough force to suck the air in.
