I've got a Waterway Jumbo Storm Massage jet that has stopped spinning on its own. I can spin by hand (well, really, a finger through the holes), but the water pressure doesn't do it. So I'd like to take the insert out to clean it. All the other Waterway jets in the spa are easily removable by twisting. I can't seem to do this with the Jumbo, though. It might be I'm not using enough force, but I'm a little hesitant to force it more. That thing is around $100 to replace, and that's if I do it.

So has anyone removed a Jumbo Storm? Any tricks to it? Alternatively, can this be cleaned without removing? The spa is four years old and I've never done a purge or rinse (didn't even know I needed to until now). Would a purge fix this?

I had to get a strap wrench (rubber strap) to remove the big jets on my hot tub. Something you might think about. If I recall correctly they come is sets of 3 at HArbor Freight and they're cheap.
