I have a 6 year old Hot Spring Grandee and just installed it at my new home and noticed water around the base on the concrete. I tracked the leak down to a single location between the Everwood siding and wood base on the right side of the spa. It was dripping very slowly. I removed the Everwood siding and began removing the foam. I started low and found a pool of wet insulation just above the 60# foam layer. I began working my way up tracking the wet foam. After removing about 2 cuft of foam I found a leaking fitting. When the jets are running it actually squirts.

It is about 3/4 up the side of the spa. It looks like a 1/2 inch flexible tube running left to right going into a PVC "T" joining a larger tube (~1 inch) running up and down. The smaller tube is inside the T fitting.

How do I fix the leak?

After repairing the leak can I use Great Stuff to re-foam?

Thanks for any help,
Ed

so the leak is at the junction of the flexable pvc and the t fitting? often you will have to cut the old T out, and add a new T in it's place and use short sections of pvc and couplings to reattach to the now shorter hoses. Yes you can just use great stuff to reinsulate. Won't be as dense but it works.

Thanks for the advise on repairing the t fitting.

What is the best thing to use for refoaming after the repair? Where can I get it?

Thanks,
Ed
