I have a 1994 Highlife Spa. I have rebuilt it and everything is now running well, except the large jet that is under the seat and the two jets on the opposite side and across from the filters are not working. I have attempted every combination of jet controls. I have turned the large jet. I know that in the Classic that I used to have this redirected some flow. Is there something that I am missing?

The large Jetstream jet in the lounger footwell is a second diverter. It has three positions, all the way clockwise, all the way counterclockwise, and center. Stick your arm under the water, and rotate it to find all three positions.

It works in conjunction with the main jet diverter lever (on the bartop). When the main lever (on the bartop) is turned all the way one way, standard configuration. When it's turned all the way the other way, the jetsream jet becomes the diverter.

They can get stuck after this long, the inner assy might need replacem, ent, and you'll need a special wrench to get it in and out. It will take a tech 2 minutes to do, but it might take you several hours, and risk permanent damage without the right tool.

When I turn the dial around the main jet in the footwell, it just spins around. There is never a flow from this jet.

I remember from my last spa that this dial would control the flow, however on this one the dial has alway spun around.

If I have to call in a tech, how much should I be prepared to spend?

Also will the spa have to be drained at the time the tech comes to fix this issue?

Not the jetstream jet in the footwell, the jetstream jet that hits your feet while in the lounger.

Ok - That one will not move. What would be a fair price to replace that?

Techs' charge anywhere from 65 to 105 around here, + parts. The "butterfly assy" (what's stuck) is pretty cheap, about 10 or 15 if memory serves correct. The jetstream handle shouldn't need to be changed.
Good luck!

Also, if you get a tech- I'd like to know what they charge over there- be sure you call only a Hot Spring tech :)
