Just noticed that the jets on my hot tub aren't as strong as usual.
I have the moto-massage unit (replaced this just 2 months ago)
and the pressure isn't even strong enough to make it go up and down.
When I move the air control knobs near the moto-massage there is a
difference in flow, but still it isn't strong. If I take my filters out, no change.
If I take the plastic rods that the filters mount on out, the pressure/jets
are noticeably stronger and the moto-massage works. Still doesn't appear
to be as strong as normal though. Just drained and refilled tub, no difference.
Is there anything I can blow out with an air compressor etc to see if somethings
plugged up somewhere?

The old air-intake valve is probably the cause if it hasn't been changed to the retro-fit 'Hartford Loop'. It is located in the motor compartment (somewhere up high), it will be black or white, and it has (2) 3/4" lines and (1) 1/8" line coming out of it. Clamp off the 1/8" line with a pair of vise grips or pliers and see if your power comes back to the jets.

What if it has been retrofitted to the newer valve?
then it's the jet pump?

No, the jet pumps either work or don't work, there's really no in-between. Are you sure that there is enough water in it or is the skimmer door getting stuck and not going down? Not much to it other than those few things.

I have a 2003 Sovereign. Exact same problem. I came across this post trying to find an answer to the problem with my tub. Mine almost sounds like it is sucking air somewhere (because I can hear air pumping through the diverter valve with the water) but I can't figure out where.

Did you find a solution to your problem? Good to know I am not alone.

Thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions.

_Scott
