Hi there,
I'm having similar problems to this guy you were helping, only my blower is OEM (I think) in a 20 year old 230v Regency (Nemco) spa. When it was warmer, the air bubbles were working fine, but now that it's colder (20-30 degrees) they will hardly ever turn on, especially when the tub is warmed up for a soak. The previous owner had this hot tub inside his house.
Can you please educate me about why outdoor units would need to have the blower mounded vertically? And anything else about blower problems that you can offer would be great. Everything else seems to work great.
Thanks a bunch!

Orientation doesn't make a difference unless it's an outdoor unit that has to be mounted vertically.[/quote]

There are essentially two types of blower installation: inside or outside of the cabinet. Since blowers inside the cabinet stay dry, there's no rain protection. Models that are specifically made for outdoor use have a shroud over them to block rain out and have to be mounted with that end up to stay dry.
How do you mean it won't turn on? The blower itself won't turn on or bubbles don't make it through?
