Still works. Did hum nicely, now it's annoying.
Upon investigation it is not mounted in the control box just loose. Moving it around changed the noise, but dont think it was previously attached or vibrated as much. Will check further may have come loose somewhere.
I have a leaker that gets too low sometimes.

You may be able to clean the impellor, but most likey needs to be replaced. If replacing make sure you get Watkins newest retro circ. pump.

I may have fixed her. Opened it up.A few hairs removed from the impeler hemisphere. there was clearly some wear on the hemisperical side of the impeller piece. The brass like coating was worn off in one quadrant. I did a little oxidation clean up from the concave pump side it fits in. Right or wrong I applied a bit of marine grease to the concave part where the impeller part must spin. Guess this must be an elctromagnet setup, pretty cool. Hope I didnt funk up applying grease.
A tip: I didn't have to drain the tub......wine corks fit perfectly into the tubing to stop water escaping whilst I did the repair. It seems to hum again, but we shall see. I'll give it a few days to see if its alright. Will be sure to clean the filters. Did these come lubed or was water meant to be the lubricant?
