I have recently purchased a home with a hot tub in a gazebo. I have never owned a hot tub prior to now. When I turn on the tub, there are 2 pumps. The one connected to the heater tube hums and then kicks off, no water flow. The other pump works fine. The pump is a magnetek wet end pump. What is my first step?????

has the tub sat unused for a while? the pump may have a bad front bearing, and thus seized up, not allowing it to turn. Probably will have to remove the pump, separate the wet end from the motor, purchase an impeller and seal kit for the wet end, disassemble the motor, replace the bearing, reassemble..... or buy a new pump assembly.
