I have a Model #1 I-251577 Hot Springs
When I turn the hot tub on the gfci tripped and when I disconnected the heater it stopped. I recently replaced the heater from Hot Springs (same) and filled the tub
up. Everything worked perfect until the water reached 93* degrees. The gfic tripped again! Everytime I reset it it would flick on and off. (the power) When I unplugged the
silent flow recirculating pump the power light stayed on for 1 minute and then it just keeps blinking. When it does this the pump and jets won't work. Do you have any ideas. Do you think it could be the silent flo 5000 recirculating pump? please help!
Can you give me a toll free phone number to get in touch with someone who can help?
thanks

If you're referring to a GFCI that is mounted in a separate enclosure (breaker box), tighten the wiring connections.

If you're referring to a cheapie GFCI that is a plug in the wall style thing, then replace it.

Then repeat your attempts at heating the water.
Post again if this doesn't solve the problem.

thanks a million for the advice!
I tried to run the tub with the heater turned down. I reset the gfci and turned on the jets. ran for 10 minutes and then I pushed the cleaning cycle (10 min) and when the cleaning cycle was finished it tripped immediately. I had the recycling pump unplugged the whole time. After the cleaning cycle the recycling pump is the only thing that is suppose to run continusally, but it wasn't plugged in. Whenever I plug the circulating pump in the light just blinks and there is no pwer to even run the jets. Sounds like it is the recirculating pump for sure. There is a lot of calcium buildup on the recycling pump as well. thanks!
