tub has 14 jets
1 jumbo
2 neck
11 polly (few wirrly, pulsonator, directional, ect
8 foot tub
changed pump configuation as follows
i split the system
original pump #1 , 1.5 hp 2 speed, low filtering, high jets. this pump is
now operating 6 of the 14 jets on the left side of the tub with its own water manafold and own suctions .
Added pump 2. 2 hp 2 speed with only hi speed in operation to the
other 8 jets on the right side of the tub with its own water manafold and own suctions.
when the jets are on both pumps run only on hi speed and come on at the same time.
Have i gone overboard with this configuation? do you think the jets
will be to strong for comfort ?

8 awg THHN is rated at 55 amps. Not 40.
So why all the talk of 6 awg
Learn your wire types. 8 awg nm which is romex is 40 amps.
