I recently repaired my HotTub after having it sit for some time (Winter) and it works fine however if I dont use it everyday I have to remove the filter and use a plunger to get the pump to push water. The pump is running but is "Vapor locked?" I dont know if this is an indication of air getting in somewhere and causing this if so how do I find this inlet?

to find a leak can de difficult, water is leaking out of the pipes/pumps and then they are airlocked and need to be primed, first to do, remove skirt, dry everything real good, pick a hot day so any splashed out water dries, then look for drips while tub is turned off, if you do not find one look for leaks after turning on 1 pump on low if it is two speed. Place the cover on first to eleinate splashes. Once you find a dripfrom a leak follow the water trail to the source of the leak. fix the leak. hope that fixes it. that shoud keep you from manually priming the pump to start up , or keep in on a setting where it will come on every 15 minute for 2 minutes, so the pump never gets so dry it needs primed. did you tighten all the fittings after making your repairs, check the o rings where the threaded connections are (at the pumps and heaters ) making sure they did not crack, if they are good add a little vasoline to the o ring and make sure to tighten the connection sufficiently to make a good seal. Stop the leak and no more air lock. No more air lock , Daddy is happy,

Well, you can't take the skirt off of that one. Does this Classic have Moto-Jets? Pre-'85 didn't. Is it in the shape of a D? Are you talking about the circulation pump or the Jet pump that doesn't work? If it's a pre-'89 then the circ pump only works when the spa calls for heat. If it's the jet pump you should be able to hear an air leak. Try pulling the filters and running the spa (as long as there is no junk in the spa) to see if it makes a difference.
