 Post subject: 93 hot springs/ watkins wavemaster 7000

i have a 93 hot springs spa with a watkins wave master 7000. the tub and pump is from 93. i need to replace the pump but cant afford the same pump. is there a way to rebuild it or a place to get them used. or another brand i can use that will fit. i have no clue of how to go about this or where the best place to look for the parts. thanks for thew help

You can likely find a replacement motor no problem. The motor is not propietary to HSS. The wet-end, however, might be.

Are you able to remove the impellor without damaging it? (It might have a reverse threaded stainless steel screw helping to hold it in place, though the impellor itself is a normal thread onto the pump shaft)

If the impellor is in ok shape, re-use the all the wet-end peices except the (~15-20) shaft seal, and buy a replacement motor (~100)

I have two Wavemaster 7000 pumps, model 84179. Are you still looking for one or two? I have them listed on E Bay, at - Home & Garden > Pools, Spas > Pumps & Filters... stanzi@charter.net
