I have replaced the o'ring in the wet end of my Magnetek pump 3 times, and it still leaks. I've checkd for defects and there doesn't appear to be any. Can I just use a sealer like QUAD?

Are you sure the water is coming out of the volute, and not the shaft seal? Sure, you can use a silicone sealant (not familiar with QUAD) for the volute O-ring, but if it's leaking from the mechanical shaft seal, you'll need a shaft seal...

I'm pretty sure....but not positive. I think I am just going to go ahead and replace the wet end. Is removing that difficult?
