 Post subject: flo master xp2 impeller removal

I'm replacing the volute on my pump and stuck on how to get the impeller off.
any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pretty much hold the shaft, and unscrew the impellor. I use needle nose vise grips to grab the shaft, and a home-made tool that slips inside the impellor, and puts even pressure accross all sides while unscrewing. Sometimes, the brass nut tears right out of the plastic impellor.

It is sometimes necessary to destroy the impellor to get to the shaft seal.
