 Post subject: pump runs on high speed only

When I turn the tub on the pump runs on high speed only and does'nt shut off. Anyone have help??

The high speed relay is probably stuck. If the relays are exposed, you could unstick. If the relays are in enclosed, the case can be pulled off to look at. This problem may come back though which requires that the relay be replaced or a new controller be ordered.

I just had an identical problem with my D1 Chairman. One of the motors would only run on high, when on low it made a noise but did not turn. I removed the motor and took the end off it. I suspected the ballast was bad but it was ok. I did find the little weighted spring loaded centrifugal force gizmo that is attached to the motor shaft had come loose. I reattached it using some loctite and everything now works fine. First thing I would do is check to see if the motor is getting power when on low.
