Pump runs for 30 seconds then shuts off.

I have drained and refilled the tub to make sure that the jets do not have an air bubble, the spa manual recommends filling the tub through the filter to avoid air. I turn on the tub and it runs for about 30 seconds then shuts off without tripping the GFI switch. I can unplug the spa then plug it back in and the spa will run for another 30 seconds.

Try this: When running the motor, keep the filter top off and see if the water suddenly drops. If it does, my guess is that you have air in the line. I use a pail and keep adding water directly into the filter area until all the air is out - keep the water up as much as possible. Water level should be close to the top of the skimmer too.
