Hello...

I have an underground spa - make unknown - and we found the air blower was flooded with water...

Someone told me that there aren't any check valves where the jets are at the spa end and that the water in the line is supposed to be there...

Someone else told me that there is probably a leak in the line rendering the check valves useless and the leak needs to be repaired to solve the problem...

Another person said to raise the air blower a couple of feet off the ground and the water would not be able to get to it...

Does anyone agree with these ideas, or have any other suggestions?

Also, the equipment (heater, pump, blower, etc.) are all about 50 feet away from the spa itself...

Thanks in advance for your help...

Brendan

Raise the blower a couple of feet above the water line, and add a check valve for good measure.

Thank you, I raised the blower and the water appears to be staying away.

Now I have another issue. The blower seems like it is fighting to get air into the line. The intake is super strong while the blower is not connected to the system (powerful like a shop vac), but when we connect it to the line the intake is very weak and the blower gets extremely hot (enough to burn your skin if you touch it).

Any other suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Thanks again in advance for your help.

Brendan

Almost sounds like the air line is plugged or not powerful enough to overcome the distance
