Thanks for this great site. I have a Hot Springs Model Sovereign Tub. I drained and cleaned the tub. Now that I have refilled it when I push either the "Jets" or "Clean" buttons, I only get a very low flow of water from the pumps. Reading through the site it sounds like it could be an air pocket in the plumbing lines. Is this the probable cause? Any other suggestions? What should I do to try to fix it? Thanks in advance for the help

I had a similar issue, in my case the check valve broke and the water flow was obstructed by the valve's broken off piece. In my tub the check valve sits in the water pipe coming from the pump going to the jets. To trouble shoot this I drilled a small hole in front of the check valve and one behind it, the difference in pressure made it clear the valve was broken. I replaced the valve and it works fine now. Remove your filters, put the filter "caps" back onto the standpipes, and try again. Notice the weir door... is is sliding down enough to allow adeqaute water flow into the filter compartment?

Don't drill in anything just yet, while it's possible an in-line check valve has failed, it's expectionally rare.

Do you know the serial number of your hot tub- have you noticed it leaking intermittantly recently?
