We're completely new to the spa owning community. Our's is a 1984 Sundance Royale with a Sentry 605 control system. Bought it from an acquaintance for $300 and had it moved to our home. All the wood was missing or rotted so it needed a new skirt.
We arranged 4-inch thick cap-blocks into a center pad for the footwell and then used 2-inch blocks for a ring around it, then filled it in with blocks. A 2x4 framed base covered in plywood was then placed over this and the spa moved to sit in the center.
We then built walls and erected them on the "floor" around the tub and secured it all together. Then it was all siding and trim and some stain.
Total approximate cost to acquire, move and rebuild the skirt was $1300.
