I have a 1995 LA OASIS, the blower works but no air into the hot tub, I removed the blower motor and it pumps ALOT of air, I also noticed the check valve leaks a very small amount of water back into the blower, I am assuming the check valve is bad and it will not open to allow air to pass through, The big question is of course can the check valve be replaced with water in the hot tub???

Thanks in advance

do you have a clear check valve or a solid color? if it is clear, you should be able to see if there is any water above the valve. Typically, there should be no water at all above the valve (tub side) but that is what the valve is there for, just in case it backfeeds. If you have water on the tub side of the valve, you should try to correct the back feeding issue, and then change the valve. A good design for blower systems will have the the blower, then the check valve, then a loop of pipe that goes above the waterline, then into the tub.

I hope this helps you to figure out what you need to do next.

The valve should only be of the 1/4 or 1/3 pound variety. It could be stuck... it's rare though. Might want to get a rod or something and push it in to see if it'll move.
