My blower seems to be failing on my 1980's Kohler tub, I am looking at replacing it. My question is do I need an external or underskirt blower? The existing blower is located under the skirt but it looks like the external model listed in the spa parts section of this web site.

an external blower will work just fine under the skirt. The only difference is the housing, and the external ones are designed to take on the elements (rain, snow, etc). Go ahead and replace it with either model, placing it under the skirt.
